I went to the National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) for the final work of this year. It is a selection ceremony for the nice step scientist 2017 on 26^th today and the courtesy visit from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

Come to think of it, I went to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology at the Young Scientist Award Ceremony in April this year. This time is at Central Joint Government Building No. 7 East Building, 16^th Floor. After everyone introduce themselves and selected people (two absent), the selection ceremony and awards of the shield was given. The following photos as shown.

Then, after exchanging opinions with the director and researchers (1 hour), I paid a courtesy call on Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (top image). Although it was less than 20 minutes, he seemed to be a minister interested in science and technology and asked why did I chose this path. This job which is talking to strangers every minute is very difficult. I thought it would be easy for a researcher to socialized. After that, while eating lunch, opinions were exchanged at 1 pm.

Many of the people selected this time were overwhelmingly active in areas of interest such as AI and genome editing. This simple chemistry (and Chemste) was chosen because of the strong support from people around me. I am very grateful and will continue to work hard.

Well, tomorrow is our laboratory presentation and year-end party. So, I am going back to Waseda and celebrates the end of second year.
