Hello everyone! I am Nakayama of B4.

Sorry if I post this late but I am going to tell you about my Waseda University extra-curriculum activity. I belong to Waseda University Glee Club, the largest male choir circle on campus.

Yes, my hobby is singing . (By the way, I do sing at laboratory drinking party but in fact, I am bad when I am singing alone).

So I decided to write about choir which is my hobby.

Everyone, do you remember any choral competitions held in junior high school and high school?

For those who are not good at singing or people who dislike singing choir is because of an event such as being forced to sing for a concert. ( I myself too dislike the choir competition).

On the other hand, I think that it is very fun to do it as a hobby. After all, it is best to have several melodies in one. You won’t understand unless you try this!

(I think readers of this blog are interested more in chemistry) This time I would like to introduce a very simple introduction of choir with chemistry.

(Organic) Chemistry and Choir Similarities

・Trial and error

Choir is not only practiced by one person (of course, I do practice myself for the whole day to memorize the musical score) but if you don’t actually play it with multiple people, you won’t be able to grasp the balance of volume and the atmosphere of the voice. Also, this adjustment is a trial and error. Sometimes it takes several tens of seconds to fit the tens of seconds.

(Organic）Chemistry and Choir Differences

・Reproducibility is not necessary

Reproducibility is required not only in chemistry but also in the science world but reproducibility is not necessary for choir.

Although it contradicts with the previous one, no matter how much you practice together and when it is time to perform, the condition of the person who sings are different from practice.

How to perform the best, it is better to cool down and perform a hot performance while analyzing the situation at the moment.
