Its already February and today is the undergraduates graduation thesis presentation. The other day, January 31, there was a presentation meeting for graduates-to-be joint with Hosokawa Lab. Hosokawa Lab gave 13 presentations, while Yamaguchi Lab gave 3 presentations.

Each person starts their research on April (students from Hosokawa Lab starts on March). All undergraduates worked hard in making the power point without knowing if it is correct or wrong. I think the undergraduates has made a huge improvement.

In the announcement, the fourth grader rewrote the slide many times, made a manuscript and learned desperately. This process is also the most difficult in the first year. How can you explain your research in an easy-to-understand manner? How do you give a presentation and what will you ask? What are the challenges in research? Looks like they understand their own research a lot. Some people do their best and presented a good presentation overall.. Do you think that their sense of accomplishment is reflected in the top photo?

そして実は浅子の論文のサブミットも、彼の発表１つ前に完了（苦笑）！これで4年生全員、彼らの仕事（もちろん共同研究者の力は大きい）を論文に投稿したこととなる。論文作成と投稿までのプロセスを4年生で経験できたのはすばらしい。そして、よくがんばったと思う。

終了後、山口研4年生と来年からうちに来る4年生、細川研助手と武藤と僕で打ち上げ。この少人数の打ち上げももう二度とないんだろうなあ。

浅子は自分の化合物の置換基の数5杯を飲んで、いつもどおりおやすみなさい。その後研究室に戻って細川さんも加わり二次会。

4年生にとって初めての発表会、武藤にとって初めて指導した学生、僕にとって初めての自分の研究室4年生発表を終えた。一息入れて、またリスタートしよう！
